I am directed by Dr.Secretary Harcourt to

inform you that the Governor of Hong Kong has asked that you may be medically examined as to your fitness for further service in the Colony.

2. I am, therefore, to request you to present yourself for examination at your earliest convenience to one of the Medical Advisers to this Department,

whose names are given on the enclosed letter. He will send his report direct to the Secretary of State.

The fee for the examination will be paid

by the Crown Agents for the Colonies.
